Lollipopping, as it’s referred to among growers, is a pruning technique that involves removing growth up to a certain point on each branch shaping it into a lollipop, hence the name. This high stress growing technique concentrates all the plants flowering energy into fewer, but larger flower clusters resulting in higher yields and exceptional buds. Pruning can be tedious to you and stressful on your plant. But with our experience and expertise we will recognize which growth to remove and remove it with the least amount of damage and stress to your plant, resulting in higher quality yields. Pruning should be done in the vegetative stage of the plant growth process and no later than the end of the third week of your blooming cycle. Many growers hire us to do it on the 21st day of the blooming phase, this allows us to see overall structure of the entire plant and decide what parts of the plant to remove. Proper pruning should only take few minutes for each plant and we usually complete it along with other services such as defoliation.
